The SCH-i730 is a Windows Mobile based Pocket PC phone manufactured by Samsung. Since it functions as a cell phone and PDA, it is a converged device. It has only been offered by Verizon Wireless in the United States, however, its counterpart, the IP-830w was offered by Sprint. The IP-830w/SCH-i830 is identical to the i730, but trades Wi-Fi for an overseas GSM 900/1800 cellular radio. It still keeps its North American CDMA 850/1900 radio. The IP-830w was sold by Sprint, and the SCH-i830 was sold by Verizon Wireless, alongside the i730. (*)
