| NTComputer86: yeah, its great for note taking, pictures, drawing, word processing, and many present day games. if you custom install an os on there to get rid of all the crap hp loads onto it , you can do even more. it runs guitar hero, halflife 2, photoshop, office 07, adobe cs4, and other programs flawlessly | AlexCavallucci: is the tx2 any gd for doing work on |
| connor8001: master of puppets | NTComputer86: it will if you install and update the drivers for them, they are availible on hp's website |
| antdogz1: does the fingerprint scanner work with windows 7 too i have a hp touchsmart laptop | NTComputer86: yeah, you can write in ink as they call it |
| stussy48: when on microsoft word or powerpoint, are we able to add in little notes etc using the pen and writing on the touchscreen like adding adding in notes on normal sheets of paper by writing them out with pens . i really want this laptop but i wanna know if you are able to do that, for adding in stuff on lecutre notes etc at uni. | NTComputer86: if your talking about the thing that you can do with the start menu key and tab key then yes. if you are talking about something hp supports, i am not entirely sure. that feature is called windows flip 3d, and it is also in 7 |
| stizz1982: yo u remember how b4 on da tx2 when running vista there was like a fan icon dat u can click on right next to da start icon and if u clicked on it it showed all da windows in fan mode and u can scroll through it.how u do dat wen operating windows 7 on it | HiphonePro: get games and apps for the tx2 at touchswipe, gom |
| HiphonePro: get games and apps for the tx2 at touchswipe, gom | QwertyAzerty2009: nmu |
| NTComputer86: i do know that the computer is not designed for gaming, though i have been able to get garry's mod and team fortress 2 to both run with extremely little lag on high performance mode and keeping the computer plugged in. halo, portal, and a few other games run well, but they will drain the hell out of your battery or lag when the computer is not plugged in | o8wattsa: could i run a game like prototype on this thanks in advance for any answers |
| NTComputer86: the protective glass cover is not intended to be removed on either computer, but i removed the one from the gateway because it spiderweb cracked and i couldnt see text very well on the screen. its not reccomended to remove it because the lcd is not designed to be written on. i believe on the multitouch laptops, that protective cover does have the finger sensing elements in it, and therefore should not be removed. | platinumman04: so this hard thing in front is just a protective glass cover for me, it adds speckles to the screen. is it not a problem if i remove it so i can have a clearer screen will i still have the multitouch capability |
| raven7b1: im geting one | NTComputer86: i found the drivers i downloaded and put them on my website, which is listed on my channel |
| NTComputer86: i do know the ntrig drivers are hard to find for windows 7, and i had to go to some random site to find them, and even still i find parts of the drivers to fail. when you install the hp shortcut buttons drivers that should enable the automatic screen rotation. also remember to install your graphics card driver, and fingerprint reader driver for everything else to work properly. just keep looking for the ntrig win7 driver for the hp and it should come up eventually | NTComputer86: during the hard drive formatting part, instead of wiping the hard drive, theres an option to change the size of the drive i cant remember if i did it with the install disc or by puttting the hard drive into another computer but you can shrink the size of the vista partition and create a new partition on the drive so you can have both vista and 7. when the computer starts up, theres a list of operating systems for me to choose from that looks like the 'start windows normally' type of stuff. |
| alexpyroman: how you installed windows 7 on it, you formatted normal or installed by you up in order to upgrade and drivers and software remain | alexpyroman: hello, i have the same notebook, newly installed windows 7 too, and i'm having problems with drivers, for example the virtual mouse touch is not working and when she throws the screen does not change the rotation, would and give me some tips thanks. |
| maximushg2: u cant even custom order it on hp like u can in usa so my only choices r big shot stores like sears. meh oh well , i guess il just save up my money. for a couple years lol xd | NTComputer86: if ur ordering from hp then yes they make it a lot more expesive directly through them. though im not really sure what kinds of stores they have in mexico so i wouldnt know |
| maximushg2: i really want that laptop and i was thinkin of buyin it when i was in usa but i decided not to and now in mexico it costs 2000 dollars o 0 and not even the pimped out version with more hd and ram o 0 |
